WiiM Ultra is an audio preamplifier with streaming capabilities and a highly performant built-in DAC. Compared to the Pro and Pro Plus, it stands out first for its aluminum chassis (similar to the Amp), giving it a solid and premium feel, and for its 3.5” OLED touchscreen displaying playback info, inputs, and system data.

There are many innovations: the top-tier SABRE ESS9038 DAC, Bluetooth 5.3 (with retransmission to devices like headphones), Wi-Fi 6E, HDMI ARC input with Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and Atmos support, MM phono input, and USB for storage devices.

Connectivity is extensive: RCA line input, optical input, RCA output, subwoofer pre-out with bass management, optical/coaxial outputs, and a 3.5mm trigger-out. On the front panel, a headphone output driven by a high-quality dedicated TPA6120A2 amplifier.

Exclusive to Ultra is an automatic room correction system, alongside the app-based EQ. It supports decoding up to 32-bit/384kHz and integrates seamlessly with major streaming services: Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Google Chromecast Audio (CastLite), Alexa built-in, DLNA, Roon, and Squeezelite.
